Breweries use artwork, sometimes created by the brewer, to make beers stand out on the shelf
December 23, 2020 | When we thought about the art we wanted for our new 16 oz. cans, we didn’t have to look very far. We used two local artists, Phil Lewis from Boulder, CO, and our very own Assistant Brewer, Shawna Hays. Shawna moved to Fort Collins from Milwaukee and has worked as a bartender, brewer, and graphic designer for us. We are super proud of her hard work and the fact that her hometown newspaper included her in this article.
Gilded Goat Brewing Company to Feature Local Artists in Can Label Design
October 5, 2020 | We are so happy to announce that we are now canning! Partnering with Phil Lewis Art and our Assistant Brewer Shawna Hays for the art and design, these 16 oz. cans are now available in 4-packs in the taproom. We’ve started with our most popular brands, like our IPA, Pilsner, Sour, Breakfast Stout, and Double IPA. We plan to distribute around Fort Collins and Northern Colorado soon, so keep a lookout for these beauties. We are beyond excited to share the news with you!
April 4, 2020 | We teamed up with CopperMuse Distillery to make 1000L of hand sanitizer for Colorado State University. We distributed our first jugs to the research labs, facilities department, and housing and dining services. Once CSU is full, our sanitizer will be distributed to grocery stores, the UC Health network, and numerous assisted living facilities. Our community has been so generous and gracious these past two weeks, so this is the least we can do to return the favor. We love you, Fort Collins!

Gilded Goat Brewing Company dives into Spontaneous Fermentation
February 8, 2019 | We're the first brewery in Fort Collins to use traditional Belgian methods to create lambic and gueuze style sour beers using a coolship and spontaneous inoculation. We’re excited to be leading the charge of traditional, yet unique, beers and brewing techniques. Coolships (Dutch/Flemish word is koelschip) are wide and shallow open top stainless vessels that have been used for centuries across Belgium, and now in Fort Collins! This allows us to grab local yeast and bacteria to innoculate our wort, making this beer hyper-local.
Gilded Goat Now Serving 'Snappy Grillers,' New York's White Hot Dog Delicacy
November 2, 2018 | East Coasters rejoice! We are now serving a New York favorite. These Snappy Grillers are white-colored hot dogs from Syracuse, New York’s Hofmann Sausage Company. Hofmann’s does not currently distribute west of the Mississippi River, so this is a great food option for us to bring in. We hope you stop by and give them a try today!

Gilded Goat Wins GABF Gold Medal
September 24, 2018 | Along with New Belgium Brewing, we were the only Fort Collins craft brewery to win a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver. Our Guten Bock, a traditional German beer, won gold! This means so much to us, being a small and local family-owned brewery. The Great American Beer Festival, or GABF, is like the Super Bowl of awards in the brewing industry. There were a record 8,864 entries from 2,404 breweries around the country!
Gilded Goat Brewing Company Takes Home Three Medals
August 31, 2018 | We are beyond excited that we won three medals in the Craft Beer Competition at the Colorado State Fair. There were 224 judged entries in 21 Medal Groups. We won a gold medal for the Grisette, a silver medal for the Guten Bock, and a bronze medal for the Plumicious.
Colorado Brewer’s Fest had Beer Flowing Despite Rain
June 26, 2018 | The Colorado Brewer’s Fest is one of the oldest beer festivals in the state. Before we opened the brewery, this was a must-attend festival and we were lucky enough to have it in Fort Collins. Now that we are open, we love that we get to pour our beer and be part of the festivities. Rain isn’t going to stop us from having a good time and giving out tasters of our delicious craft beer.
